Clean house without toxins

Most people think a clean house or bedroom is one that has been cleaned with antibacterial products, bleach, deodorizers, air fresheners, etc. From an environmental as well as a practical standpoint, this does not make for a clean house, rather it creates a toxic environment.

This is made worse because the cleaners are used indoors, and often without adequate ventilation so the exposures to family members as well as pets can be quite concentrated. The odors and chemical residues can remain in the air or environment for several hours to several days. This causes significant indoor air pollution.

Many people mistakenly assume that every germ must be eliminated and follow the advice from the latest T.V. commercial on antibacterial and antiviral products made for household cleaning. Or the consumer is made to think that industrial strength cleaning or cleaning such as is done in hospitals must be done in the home.

Remember, much of this is simply marketing hype to get you to buy their product!

So, on the contrary, a genuinely clean house is one that is cleaned adequately and regularly but is done so using the least amounts of harmful chemicals as possible.

Unfortunately, most common cleaners do not disclose their ingredients because they are currently not required to do so.

Most are comprised of many toxic, harmful, and carcinogenic substances that many people use thinking they must be safe or they wouldn’t be sold to the general public. Wrong!

The use of many chemicals makes germs more resistant-

This is a well known scientific fact. The weakest germs are killed off first leaving behind the stronger, more resistant germs. For any that are NOT killed off, they can mutate (changing their form and properties) and become resistant to the chemicals used on them.

Then you have “super-bugs” living in your house! It then takes stronger chemicals and more of them to kill these off and eventually you may not be able to kill them off at all due to their strong resistance. This also opens the door to resistant illnesses caused by these germs.

The use of many of these chemicals causes harm

in ways that often are not seen and are not easily detected. These can cause extensive health and organ damage over time. The brain is particularly vulnerable to chemicals as well as most other organs in the body.

The amazing work of Dr. David Amen who has used brain scans extensively in his practice, shows how damaging many things are to the brain, including chemicals. He strongly advises that we do everything in our power to protect our brain-it controls everything, so it's critical that we take care of it properly.

It’s far better to clean with simple, natural products

such as vinegar and hot water, hot steam methods, baking soda, natural soaps, or non-toxic chemical cleaners. Products that break down easily do not pose the health hazards found in typical chemical cleaners. They also cause little or no harm to the environment.
